 About the DQ200 transmission

 The DQ200 (0AM) DSG gearbox is a further development of the DQ250 (02E).  During the development of the DQ200, the main priorities of Volkswagen AG were reducing fuel consumption and lowering emissions.  It is specially designed for vehicles with an engine torque of up to 250 Nm, such as Polo, Golf, Passat and Touran.  The DQ200 (0AM) was the first 7-speed DSG to be fitted with a dry double clutch and mounted transversely at the front.
